    ricoh 3245c jams in fuser

i have an 3245c that jams mostly in the fuser unit especialy when i do full colour multi prints and double sided. when it does jam it jams within the belt and the fuser stripper fingers.tends to make a paper fan. all springs are attached and stripper fingers are in place.

i have ordered a new fuser belt as it is grazed against the thermostat, new stripper fingers and springs are on order. macine has done about 300k. am only trying to order what i really really need to fix this jamming problem. is there anything else that i can try or adjusting to sort this out?

Increasing your lead edge margin (void area) will help in addition to those new parts.

There is a cleaning roller and an oil supply roller you could clean and replace them, also what's the press roller like? I hhad exactly the same thing withhe the tthermostatt housing catching the belt and causing a line in full colour mode lastt week!
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.

i think the tension of the springs on the stripper fingers wer not strong. i had this problme before with the thermostat casing catching the belt to rip and last time i replaced the belt with the fuser stripper fingers with new springs and the new springs had more tension.

oil suplly roller and the cleaning roller are on order as i forgot to mention before. and also increasing the lead edge will be another solution if none of these work.

        press roller seems ok

after replacing these parts jamming still occured in the fuser unit mostly when i did double sided full colour. everytime time it jammed, paper was wrapping abit around the hotroller just under the fusing belt catching it underneath the claws on the hotroller.

are you sure the paper is the right kind a multipurpose can have anti bleed chemicals for use with inkjet printers this chemical reacts weird with ricoh fuser oil and cause these kind of problems try with a good color laser printer paper.
