    aficio ap 3800c

    hi everybody!!! i need help with and old aficio ap 3800c ,the machine display reset toner magenta ,cyan ,yellow,black (RESET ,NO REPLACE),WE TRAY TO EVERYTHING BUT NOTHING HAPPENS,STILL THE SAME !!anyone had this kind of problem before? thank you!!!!

    When I've seen that, just removing and installing the toner has fixed it. All of those signals go to the BCU so barring a bad connector, That may be the problem. What did you do prior to this occurring?

      toner reset

      this was the first thing we did,i guess the bicu or the software have problems

        Toner bottle detection is performed by the memory chip on the cartridge. If replacement does not work, reseat connector CN207 on the BCU (signals for K) and CN204 on the BCU for C, M, and Y. Hope this helps.

          The Chips need 5v Supply, if all are gone at the same time, maybe there is a 5v Line missing. Give it a try

          For Black, check Connector CN207, PIN B18, there should be 5V

            Engine clear. Beware, print out SMC. You will have to re-input values. Also be prepared to run forced line positioning, and reset ACC to factory. It may then say non oem toner in use. There is another SP mode (can't remember which) that will turn that off.
            Don't take that toner with me!

                SP5051, but I don't think that was available on this old dog.
