    MPC2050 magenta lines

Hi Folks, I'm getting what looks like multiple magenta lines going from leading to trailing edge. These lines look like they are created by the laser. This happens while copying or printing. The copies look like a perfectly ruled page. I replaced the laser unit but it didn't cure the problem.

    Any ideas would be appreciated

Have you tried running it in Single colour or test pattern from Sp.

Have you ruled out the M drum and charge roller yet?

That'd be my guess too, or the dev unit seals are shot. I doubt the laser would cause this kind of problem, unless the IPU board's packed up.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

        Hit it.

I tried a new M drum unit but didnt fix the problem. The lines are perfectly spaced all across the page almost like a test pattern. The lines are been written to the drum as opposed to bad charge roller or bad blade etc.

I'd also suggest you post a scan of the image. You know what they say about an image speaking more than a thousand words, right?

Obviously Funkmaster crashed onto a tree ?

I am curious about the scan ! I service this model for a year now and never encountered this problem..

Hi guys, I'm still in one piece. I changed the complete controller unit and it sorted the lines.
