    PM on Ricoh Pro1106

The machine Pro1106 jams on Heatpipe exit sensor. My boss says, do PM on the machine.
Can someone suggest , what all parts should I replace for PM. The machine has done total 1042000.

Order PM kit MP9000K100A and check the service manual for what needs to be replaced on the million PM.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

      Hi,

For problems with Jams and dog-earring after the fuser, there are a couple of things we're finding works in the UK.
Most (if not all) Katana machines, have the nip width set too large at 13mm which causes too much paper curl. Adjust this down to 10mm.
Secondly, the Newer pro 907 range have a different Transport roller(cooling sub unit) at the exit end of the heat pipe transport belts.
It has a larger diameter and so the belts travel faster. So replace B234 4319 with D059 4319.

Thanks tcs04 for this, I am going for the PM on the machine next week, I will check this.
Also, can anyone suggest - should I replace the whole drum cleaning unit, or cleaning blade, cleaning brush part by part?

I would only replace individual parts the units seem to last at least 4 million. PMB234500K with Dev 27 and a hot roller with strippers and a thermister are good parts to put in at 1 million copies, prolly doesn't need a press roller yet though

                Dear

At 1 milion You have to replace : Cleaning Blade B234 3564 and Brush B234 3590 , Filter B234 2158 , Both coronas and Grids , Developer ,and clean everithing ( See PM tables ) Fusing unit You dont have do touch until 1 500 000 or above , termistor is ok even on 10 000 000 . ( PM for Transfer belt is on 1 100 000 but he can do much more , fushing also , just clean fingers or replace it . If you replace hot roller fingers at every PM you can extend Your Hot roller life

Check for toner buildup on the upper fuser exit guide, see attached, can be hard to see and hard to believe just a little bit there will cause jamming.

I have lot of Jam 21 and they are all related to quality of paper , after long run machine is all hot and if paper is bad quality it fill jam at finger and cause jam 21 . You can lover Fuser temperature to see diference or put some quality paper inside just to see diference . I suggest navigator 80g/m2 , and You will see difference ........

I have also battled the 021 jams at heat pip turned out to be the one way gears that drive the belt, cleaning oneways helped but replacing resolved--Good Luck!!
