Ricoh aficio 3245c stuck in add toner mode not going to ready.!!

having a problem on a 3245c , machine goes to adding black toner and won't go to ready status, we have cleaned the id sensors , usuing nothing but oem ricoh toner , cleard the toner tube going to the
black dv unit , toner pump is working. the black dv unit aparently is not getting toner in it. machine cyles for about 5 minutes and then goes to add toner status....cannot run any tests because machine won't
goto ready.. any suggestions...

Toner pumps and dev clutches - getting used to replacing these on these older machines. My guess is if you are sure toner pump is ok is that dev is depleted and dev clutch is failing.

You may want to check the toner receiving, very often the customer is prompted to replace toner, and does not realize that the internal part of the toner bottle is still in the the toner supply "chuck". Another idiosyncrasy of that series is the toner add motor.

Wrong model there Goose, this is the 3245C (color). The bottles are rectangular and are inverted on the right side.

Sometimes the chip on the toner bottle is not working and the machine still thinks the toner is empty. Replace the toner.

already replaced with another brand new oem toner.
also we watched the cycle with the door open and you can see the black dv gears turning.
along with the other dv units so does that eliminate the clutches....?

i'm going to try today replacing the black dv unit with a new one, see if that works , the
one it has now is way over 50k but still was making a good copy...

I have seen the nozzle clogged several times, i take it out and use an air hose to clear it (look out for the toner cloud) do it outside and check the toner cartridge holder to make sure its in right. (the nozzle is the peace that the toner bottle sits on there is 2 tubes attached to it.
