how to find out the log in ID and password

Good morning...

When i set up scan to folder for ricoh multifunctional machine, i need the ID and password of
the computer which i want to connect to the ricoh machine.
What is the surest way to find out the log in ID and password.

I usually check by going to computer's users folder or going to computer management folder in
administrative tools of control panel.
Sometimes, i am not sure the id and password that i get from there is the correct one.

the user id and the password are from the computer, to install smb you computer must set a log in user name and password, then enter it to your machine.

ask the user of the computer or the administrator for the users password, sometimes they know.

There are clients who do not wish for me to know their user name and password. I usually have the individual who logs into that computer input their login into my machine while I turn my back.

I call each user one at a time to put in their user ID, password and email address at the machine, so I can show them how to scan to themselves either smb or email.
The one on one training saves me calls, because they tend to show each other.

Sometimes I'll create a new user on the computer and make sure the password is set to never expire.
