Maybe the transfer belt is torn on the PCU and is locking up the drive. Check the PCU first...

Hello, thank you for your quick response, I have no documentation for this copier, I do not know where this is the various components (main motor, transfer belt, PCU ,...)
      Can you guide me?
      THANK YOU VERY MUCH

For information: I am in France and I use the Google translator, if my sentences are a bit "bizare" is some of the translation.

The main motor drives the flywheel. The PCU is inside the front cover, is large and has 3 screws. Remove the waste containers and main charge corona assembly first then pull the handle. It is on a drawer slider.

The PCU is located in the front cover of the machine. If you open the front and side covers there a 3 large silver screws located 2 at the top and 1 at the bottom of the PCU assembly. They are quite hidden but BIG so you can't miss them. Remove the 3 screws and pull on the big handle in the middle and the whole unit should slide out. There is another handle on top for carrying. The PCU unit comes out complete with both TCB's and the Charge grid. Check that the 2 belts on the PCU unit are not ripped or torn and that they turn smoothly. If you need to replace the PCU unit the part number is B214 2302, this is the whole unit minus the waste toner bottles and charge grid.

          Hope this helps.

Thank you your help, so I exit the PCU, I do not see any belts, but by turning the gears there is nothing that binds ...

              OK,

From experience it is normally the PCU that is causing these problems. I would replace that first of all if it is close to its life of 120,000 prints. I would also check the firmware levels as you never know, stranger things have happened. After that you can inspect the main drive assembly. Turn it with your finger to see if it turns ok. Failed that you are looking at a new main drive motor or a PCB fault.

The main disk is the large disk (inertia?) Metal milieur in the photo (my first post), if he is good ... it Portner I have a DSC 424 not very far (it's like two twins) that works is the same PCU (Photo Conductor Unit, I am not the raprochement!)? You think I can test with that of DSc424?

The large metal disk is the flywheel. It is the big wheel in the photo. Please type french also. If the translation is poor we may have help from seeing your original message in french. The Gestetner DSc424 is the same machine as the Ricoh 1224c so yes the DSc424 PCU should work.

                        Aficio 1224C EROR SC440

Hello, the PCU who was on the 1224C works, I installed it on the DSc424 and it prints without problem ... so it's not the PCU. So the motor? What is the reference?
                        THANK

It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

                            Hit it.
