Last time we had a customer that used AS400 the Savin/Ricoh Software Division took care of almost everything between the Customer IT Dept and Ricoh customizing the files.

Uknown Oswaldo. Ricoh literally took the setup off our hands. I've nothing to do with their connectivity.

I don't know if this will help you, since I have only talked about this AS400 setup, but on Kyocera products the manufacturer recommends using an I-O Corp 5435-e IPDS print server, to the parallel port on the printer. This little box goes for $800 all by itself, without the required setup. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I've always left AS400 set-ups to the company's admin, and there have been a few. No issues or special print server devices seem to be required. Guess that's why most places that use an AS400 system keep someone to administer the system around, or at least they should...

I have used I-O Corps IPDS print servers many times in the past, they work great and they have always been very helpful with the setup and tech support.

PS. Blackcat, don't go through Kyocera for the box, you can buy direct from I-O and save a few hundred bucks.
