    300gsm fusing

    Hi

I am having some client complaints that 300gsm is peeling/not fusing properly on a Ricoh PRO C 900.All recommended adjustments have been made ie:temp and nip width. Is there any other "secret" adjustments one can make to get better performance with the 300gsm.

    Regards

    On what sort of machine?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

I doubt there is a way. 300gsm is 80gsm above the maximum spec for this machine. Maybe someone has played with this and gotten it to work?

Product planning guide states that Thick 3 is for weights of 221-300gsm. There are additional settings for coated paper. What are the paper specs specifically (Brand name, type).
*Note- Tray 1 & 2 only support up to 220gsm, trays 3-6 will support up to 300gsm.
Here is a list of paper/media that has been tested for quality and performance (Ricoh's words). Note that #19 is rated A+, it has a weight of 297gsm. Also note the disclaimer on the last page.

The spec is tray 1&2 60-220, tray 3&4 60-300, duplex is 60-220. Are they actually setting it to 'thick 3'

Yes,machine set to Thick 3, special 3.Even tried Thick 3 coated 2 and 3. Temp has been changed to 205. Seems like when they have more dense images then the issue arises.

Any news on the 'NEW COLOR PRODUCTION' machine Ricoh is releasing later in the year?
