    ''Independet-supplier toner cartrige is set''

    Hi,
I want to ask you, what is wrong with MPC4000 if notice this mesage: ''Independet-supplier toner cartrige is set''? We always use original ricoh toner! If posible to reset this mesage before change with new toner cartrige?

    Thanks

If the user inserted a previously used toner bottle (to use up one that still had some left in it), you will get that indication. A new, unused bottle will get rid of the message. FYI, I always tell my customers to replace the toner when the mfp stops due to 'out of toner' condition, not when the display says 'toner low'. There is usually about 10-15% left in the bottle.

X2, set 5051 to 1. These machines have issues with this.
Don't take that toner with me!

The toner chip will have been damaged in transit - is it back door original toner? They always get kicked all over the place and are more likely to fail due to the extra shipping.
