    MP C5000 Intermittant hanging.

I have an MPC 5000 which intermittantly hangs. This can occur at the start of a copy or print job. It also occurs if you try to print the meter count page out. The engine will fire up, printing or processing will be displayed in the status bar the nothing else happens.
It will idle endlessly, well I got bored waiting after 30 minutes!

No SC code is displayed, either on the OPS panel or in the SMC report.

The controller, HDDs, RAM, NV-RAM and BICU have been replaced, Firmware upgraded/overwritten. All to no avail.

Disconnnect the Finisher, ADF, pull out all but one cassette and try again. An accessory will do this.

Check that the daughter board on the fax module (if installed) is pressed in correctly, I had a hell of a time on an MPC2500 with random hanging (no SC code) and it came down to this.
