    DF3030 Problem

When multiple copying, it jammed during the last page. And it jammed every single original to be copied. All sensors are working fine and responding through input mode. The machine just made around 10,000 copies but I wonder what causes with this jamming problem. I need your help guys. Thanks in advance.

    Hi

There have been some mods made to this feeder, please refer to bulletin 2b in the RTB section of the manual.....Ignore bulletin 1.

I also think there's an issue with the original set sensor position. I think there's a post regarding this issue on here somewhere. I think it was a case of bending the bracket/sensor to the left a couple of mm's

Had the same problem it took me forever to figure out what the issue was in this doc feeder, I did everything in this tech pub and it lessened the frequency but the problem was still there. I ended up having to replace the clutch being part 28 on the same page as the tech pub as well as the registration sensor. Even though the registration sensor changed state there was just enough of a lag in the reg sensor that caused the machine to jam.

I already replaced with the modified feed clutch and registration sensor but still the same problem. I even tested new ADF board but still the same problem. So sad, small ADF but takes longer time to troubleshoot. Please help guys!

If it's jamming after the last original is fed then look at your orginal set sensor/actuator (what sav1973 said). More then likely it's hanging up and not popping back up after the last sheet, causing to attempt to feed a non existing sheet. I've had this before, had to widen (filed) the opening in the tray that the actuator pokes up out of (it was dragging on the side slightly and didn't always pop back up fully). Also, the actuator is balanced on posts so if they're slightly gunked up at the hinge point then you will have the same problem. Remove the actuator and clean/lube the pivot posts.
