    Ricoh Aficio 250 Maintenance Mode

I have a Ricoh Aficio 250 that I need to adjust lead edge and trail edge of the doc feeder, but I do not know how to get into the Maintenance Mode, also I need to clear PM count. Can anyone help. Thanks

Call a tech, going in there without training can be dangerous to your wallet.

Heed Jomama's advise. BUT if you insist, I'd tell you how to enter tech rep mode, if only because I love seeing people shooting themselves on the foot.

i think blackhawks a tech after reading his details, looks like he inherited the m/c. Like most of us, you get a m/c your not trained on and need that little bit of help that once in a while.

Well thanks for your input, but I have been a tech a lot longer than you have been or will be.

A person with your experience will know that it's unproductive to walk into a call without the proper tools, which includes a manual.
My recommendation? Buy the manual. That's what I do. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

you can try this. to access service mode press control panel reset, 107, hold down stop key. should go into sp mode. pm count is 5-501-2: 0 = turn off pm, 1 is on, or you could change the value with by 5-501-1. one step = 1k

adf leading edge registration is 6-006-2 and trailing edge is 6-006-3.

best of luck. dont blame me if all goes pear shaped

I really appreciate the info on this problem. There are no Ricoh dealers in this area and I picked up the machine as a trade in and we are just using it in the shop. Thanks again.
