Did you try printing and/or clearing them from the WIM?

I've seen that issue on a few newer machines, where the control panel didn't help.

Did someone turn on fax forwarding and they are forwarding to a folder on their network? If the memory is at 100%, then the faxes are not stored on the local machine. if it is less and you can not see them, then their might be a memory problem and you might have to reformat the hdd and do a partial memory clear. check the bit switch settings, i think that their is one that will force any faxes to print ou.

I checked the call forwarding setting and its turned off . The memory is stuck at 77 % . Do I find the bit switch settings in the service mode in the fax section ?

something is stuck in the memory. there and also in user tolls>facsimile features, there is a bit switch that will force the printout of all of the files, but i do not remember what it is. you may have to do a memory clear.

The clear mode for fax is Copy SP5801-7.

This should wipe out all fax settings, as well as speed dials (which I think I woul back up or print first!)

If this doesn't work, or if it does and the issue comes back, I would vote for bad RAM.

Of course, you may want to verify that ALL firmware is latest and greatest. (I know, yadda, yadda, but it couldn't hurt.)

If memory serves me correctly to print out stored faxes with WIM, you don't log in to WIM. Once you print out stored faxes you can delete them with WIM. Then go to user tools, fax settings, reception settings, and set to print. You cannot change this setting unless memory is at 100%.
