I have a problem on this machine, The SP modes screen is in Chinese. I also have SC code 548 and door open indicator as soon as I turn it on

Logic errors
The SC548 is a fuser unit not installed error. But in combination with the Door Open indication, and the Chinese characters, I seriously doubt that it has anything to do with the fuser.
I am not familiar with this particular model of Ricoh, but I would start with setting the destination (country/language setting). I don't really think that this will make any difference, even if you can access service mode. The most likely choice would be the I/O board or MCU board.If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

possible PSU,for the door and sc code. sc 548 should be a fuser code. As for chinese showing up ..did this get zapped some how powerwise???? maybe NVram clear? The newer machines are doing more weird sH!t and firmware and NVram are a big part of it.Mystic Crystal RevelationsComment
