    Aficio 180 SC320

I have a Ricoh Aficio 180 that indicates SC320 when powered up. I have replaced the polygon motor (twice). Suggestions?

Check that none of the wires out back are rubbing on any motors and shorting the 24INT VDC.

Sometimes SC320 is not the polygon mirror motor but the actual laser itself. Try replacing the LD unit IF you can still get them...?

        Hmm . . . I hadn't considered a power problem - I'll check it out. Thanks for the tip!

I don't have a source for the LD unit - parts for this model are getting hard to find, other than common PM parts. Thanks for the tip.
