I've had a frayed wire going to the duplex cause this. The set that you can see at the bottom back side of the door as you open it.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

I'm sure you already have checked, but, is the duplex door shutting properly? I have had a few calls for messages that wont clear because the door is not quite shut at the front or rear of the machine.

        Drawer size not set right?
I know it sounds simple but.....
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

check the sensors in input mode to find the one that is causing the problem.

My error, but he should be able to view the relavent data from SP mode anyhow.

I'm with Fearless on this one, if it was a 'power on' jam that would clear by cycling power off and on (not truly a jam, just an interlock opening during process). If/when you determine which sensor is showing activated then it should be matter if tracing the harness or replacing the sensor.

fixed it. the actuator arm on the fuser unit was broken. just where the blue guide is. had to take the fuser unit out. didnt spot it on my first visit because boss was rushing me onto other calls so i missed it out. i always thought fuser jams were "C". that kind of confused me as i thought "a" was near the feed area.

                          Jam in A Error

Look at the Units inside the have working when dooer is closed.Fusing Grip and Developer Gear.
90% of this Error is from the Switch on the left Side from the Mashine ,

To prevent this, open the Hole a little bit with sharp Knife and bend out the metal from the switch with a small nipper.
the holder of the Sidecover loose strongness and contact to machine after much using

nice fix, have seen this myself. this is classified as a "power on" jam, because the machine was looking for the flag in that sensor before it would go to ready. That is why is showed as an "A" jam and not a "C".
