    good luck
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.

Replace the touch screen. It's a common fault on this model. B223 9900.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

You need to replace the touchscreen, there is a known manufacturing defect that Ricoh is addressing by supplying updated ones to direct offices and dealers gratis. It's getting kinda late in the game to get them though, check your local office. Search the forums for this extensively queried subject (needs a sticky!).

But that'd just be easy, wouldn't it?

Clear Modes, 1, 9, 9, 3, Clear Stop x5. Screen adjust is #1, touch with a pointy but not sharp instrument on the circles as prompted and exit.

No, if you just reset the PM counter the machine won't set up the new PCU's or developers. Go into SP3902, which is Manual New Unit Set. Tell the machine which parts you are replacing and it will initialise them when you turn it back on.
