Ricoh aficio 2020 thick line when scanning on glass only

Hi,
I'm getting a thick line on the bottom of the page when I scan or make a copy from the glass only. When I print or use the ADF copies come out fine. I already cleaned the mirrors and the glass and still getting the same line. Any idea what could be causing that problem ? I attached a copy so you can see the line.

I think your scanner might be slightly uneven. usually happens when someone leans on one of the op panel corners causing the scanner to twist slightly. The fix is to lift the front left side of the scanning unit.

Agree, it looks like there is gap where outside light is getting past the white platen pad. Is the pad/adf flush across the entire glass? If lifting the scanner doesn't correct it, look at the white pad for damage/deformity.
