    Need help for Aficio 1075

    hi,
I'm new to this forum, pretty impress by the all the people who are willing to share the knowledge and help others to solve the problem. Thanks for the information sharing over here, hope i can also get some handful tips.

In short, i'm facing several problem with my aficio 1075:

    1. when i photocopying some picture, especially pretty dark images, it always jammed at the fusing unit. The paper wrinkled, or part of the paper will be trapped under the hot roller stripper. when took out the paper, the images part will stick together, or the paper is folded. any idea what is the possible causes of all this?

    2. i have purchased a printer board from my dealer, n i installed it myself. after the i switch on the copier, i can't find my printer board. do i need to installed any software, firmware? through sd card kind of thing? or is there any sp setting i need to perform? (i din't have the installation manual, n my dealer also don't know what happen!)

    3. i noticed that aficio 1075 should be a multifunctional copier, if not mistaken. i need to perform the scan function through aficio 1075, and save some important information in my pc, however my supplier said there isn't anyone in my country try before this kind of function. if i need to get my aficio 1075 upgrade to this funtion, what is the thing that i need? where can i purchase it?

    4. i'm facing problem with my finisher as well. when i using my sort function, most of the time after 100 pages printed out, the paper will trapped at the shift tray, and after i remove the paper, sp 732 logged.
i have read the definition in the service manual, but i can't understand what is sensor harness etc, i dun't know how to solve it. (i only have the main machine service manual, not the finisher service manual, that's why hard for me to open up the finisher).

Wish our senior helper here can provide some valueble guide for me. Thanks in advance.

It's fairly common for fusers in general not to cope very well with full coverage copies as the image tends to stick to the surface of the hot roller.
All I can suggest is you check that the stripper pawls are free of toner build-up and check the tips are in a good condition.
Wrinked paper output will either be damp paper stock or a worn pressure roller.

Did you install the required 128mb of memory?
(The extra memory is not a included in the kit).

Basically you order and fit a print / scan option instead of just a print option.
(It's just a different DIMM that does both print & scan with a additional scan button to fit).

There is some kind of issue occuring with the side-to-side motion of the shift tray.
Could just need greasing or it could be a fault sensor or shift motor.

I have check and very sure that the stripper pawls are free of toner build-up. However i'm not sure what do u mean by "tips".
I just change my pressure roller, n i think the paper should be ok cause i tested with different boxes of paper, n it happen all the time.

(The extra memory is not a included in the kit).

i had install SDRAM DIMM 122mb, ROM DIMM, centronics connector, NIB, as per instruction of the service manual. however the copier just can't detect the printer board. is there any sp setting kind of step that i forgot to adjust?

is there any way to detect wheter it is fault sensor or shift motor? cause i didn't have the parts order list, it will be pretty dificult for me to order the spare part. some more, is there any finisher manual out there available, cause i didn't fix finisher before. i afraid there is some cautious step i perform wrongly.

You can test the sensor from the input mode (SP6117-XXX) and the shift motor from output mode (SP6118-XXX).

But those sort of parts don't go wrong that often so I would check the movement of shift tray before you get to involved.

once again thanks for Daz. pretty busy this few week, finally today got time to follow suggestion from Daz.

For finisher, i have notice that i didn't have the shift motor as shown in the picture. I don't know my finisher type, so i can only give description about how it works. my finisher shift tray can only move up and down, but not left and right. thus, the paper will come out on left and right when using sort function, the tray wouldn't move left to right, but inside has got one mechanism that move it left and right. and i can't check the sp 6117 or 6118.

i have took some of the photo for my machine. i'm facing problem with staple and fusing i guess. for staple, soon after staple the paper, it will be trap at the exit guide plate and couldn't come out. for suing problem is that the paper that come out from the machine is extremely curl at front side of the paper, even i'm photocopying blank sheet only.

wish i could learn from our expert here some more to solve this solution. thanks once again.

I big factor in your finisher problem is moist paper. I mean really Moist Paper. Start with some fresh paper.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

thanks for the advice. however since i have got different machine at my place, therefore i have actually use the same batch of paper tested on other machine, and no problem. then if i put it back into my this machine, this things happen again. And i have took out paper from 3 different boxes, the result came out the same.
