    aficio mpc3000 vs 4500 toner?

Does anyone know if the toner is the same on the 3000 as the 4500, just different cartridge and chips?

    Thanks

With the developer being identical, you'd think the toner is too.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Unless there's a ricoh engineer who hangs out here, I think it'd be a hard question to answer. Which I'd be happily surprised to see actually.....

Since the developer is the same and comes premixed with toner in it, the conclusion should be then that the toner is identical. But not being privy to the component formula, I wouldn't go as far as saying it's unconditionally compatible.

I actually had our service manager ask our rep about this. He claimed there is a difference in the toner (I'm not buying it). Something about particle size with relation to the model. We did have an instance to use the incorrect toner in the machine and it did work. I think it was the 4500 in the 3000, but I could have it backwards. The one has a larger tab on the toner bottle (I think the 3000) which allows the other machine with the smaller tab to be used (I think 4500).
the savin2535 is displaying well bet the hiter lamp is not shining and the lamp had been tested o.k.please kindly help.

I'd bet that the toner is identical (on the chemical side) for both machines since the dev, pcu's and trasfer unit are identical as well. There's just different fuser but I think this is just due to the different process speeds.

The toner is the same however the bottle voluum is different and could cause toner add problems due to the machines use gram count per bottle voluum to calculate when to add toner and whan to change toner bottle thus premature change of toner

Ricoh also state that the toner particle has a different mircon size

The toner is not the same. I remember reading something about some sort of lubricant added to the toner to eliminate the need of the oil roller in the fuser unit.

The MPC2000/2500/3000/3500/4500 all have an OSR. It's only the C2 and above that don't and they take different dev anyway.

The toners are absolutely the same. Chemically, physically and so on...
Even the toner bottles are 100% identical.
You can use MPC3000 toner bottle instead of MPC4500. Even the RF chip is working. We tried that.
The only problem is that MPC3000 (15k yield) colour toner is almost the same price as MPC4500 colour toner (17k yield).

We didn't try to put an MPC4500 toner bottle directly on MPC2000/2500/3000 machine! It would fit, but I am sure RF chip would work.
