Here is a strange one. The customer reports that a few times, in the middle of a run, the machine stops, doesnt jam or display a code and the lcd screen turn blue with white dots. Turning it off and on corrects it. I have never seen or heard of anything like that, have you?

No background SCs, I replaced the HDD a few months ago but then it was a hard SC.sigpic

Might be that HDD has a bad sector on it and when the machine hits it, it loses the plot. Got a spare to try in it? Maybe a spare ram DIMM?It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

It Does sound like the "restart"screen. But there is no background SC. I spoke with a tech at Hytec and he suggests it might be firmware or the controller. As he puts it."The SC history is stored on the Controller, the Controller can not save its own error." So I'm going out there tomorrow or so and do some more checking.sigpic
