    ricoh mp 2550 hard drive

    What kind of hard disk goes in to a mp2550 and is there a part number

      If you have an adapter to hook it up to your laptop, you can usually reformat the drive and it will be as good as new. Works about 9 out of 10 times.

        i agree with anotertech. however, an off the shelf hard drive will work just fine vs ordering one from Ricoh. $$$$

        it is a laptop hdd and i think it is SATA. i usually pull the drive and look.

              agreed. i usually do a low level format to be sure but i think its a MBR file corruption i have also been able to use any generic sata drive

                i dont think u will be able to format with the error code but if u look on ebay u can find a cheap sata to usb adapter for ur lappy. u will also lose your address book entries...

                u can format drive in windows or linux
