[CQ] Cross process vertical line on a Ricoh 3035

Hi,
I got this Ricoh 3035 that is having a vertical line. The problem was a label stuck to the drum, so I replaced the drum, cleaning blade, and charge roller. Vac out the machine, including waste container, and t-belt.

Now, I get this line that is cross process. It is on almost counter page printed, but not everyone, like 9 out of 10 have the line. When doing copies, the first page out will have the line, but the remaining are perfect.

Now, this is not the first time this machine has done this. The last 2 episodes, the line vanished by its self after a week or 2, and the scenrios were the same, after cleaning or drum replacement the line appeared.

Anyone experience something similar and what was the fix?

Looks like the blade sticking. Try running a couple of sky shots to lub the blade fully.

Sky shots did the trick!

The next visit, I needed to replace the drum and cleaning blade, same lines. This time, sky shots were not helping. Had to put another blade on and run more sky shots to get it to go away!

It's more likely it was a charge roller contact issue you might have solved during removing/re-installing the drum a few times. Arc marks on the drum or drum-grounding issues can also lead to streaking but it does look different (streaks from top to bottom - not just half page).
