Intermittent SC 124 and SC 345

I was working on D555 machine and it was throwing an error intermittently.I checked the scanner unit and fixed it properly. The movement of the scanner unit was ok and no skew.It would work for sometime and suddenly error came.I had tried to replace the scanner motor but still an error showed again. When you shut the machine down and power on again, the error gone. I cleaned the controller board as dust accumulated on it. After doing this stuff, the machine was running fine.I tested the machine many times and it was ok. I left the machine working but I was not convinced I had done it. I was thinking that error would occur again.

Another error occurred in the machine and that was SC 345. Can you tell what was the cause of all these errors?

    Thanks!

I dont know what a D555 is but generically, a 345 is a developer bias leak, dirty contact, open connection, bad hvps

In that case for the 124, tighten or replace the set screws for the scanner pulleys. Or replace the MPU (scan driver board.)
for the 345, same as mentioned also check the rear developer frame bushing. if it is damaged replace. SCRIBE THE POSITION OF THE BUSHING BEFORE YOU REMOVE IT. Or you will beat your head on the wall because you didn't.

Buy the manual (NOT!)... You will find it's useless in this case!!!!!!! these faults were either discovered in the field on updated via bulletins!!!

(Also check the pins on the back of the dev unit (Mag rollers) for wear caused by the bearings mentioned by Jomama)
