Ricoh MP161spf Digital Copier,Can't scan thru ADF?

Works great scanning on platen glass. But I am not sure why or how to enable pages be scanned thru top adf?

are you using twain scanning or scan to folder? if you are using twain driver, you have to choose ADF not the platen cover from the driver
