[CQ] MP9001 black line in morning ?

I have a Ricoh MP9001 that produces a thick black line (5cm) horizontally across the page (LEF) for a few print jobs or copies every other morning and then dissapears for the rest of the day. I have changed the polygon mirror motor, Complete drum cavity, dev unit, transfer unit and PM parts. Any ideas?

This will sound silly, if your following someone else in, check it has a drum cleaning blade in it, as it does just 1st thing then the brush cleans up and no more till the following day.
Make sure the brush is turning, got to be worth a shot.

Could be the cleaning pads inside the charge corona unit getting stuck, check there isn't any charge related (SC3xx) codes in the smc printout.

Take out the corona unit, unscrew the motor cover and remove the motor and turn the transport screw by hand to make sure you can move the cleaning pads from one end of the wire to the other without it binding anywhere.

If I remember this machine does a cleaning cycle of the corona unit during it's warmup (i.e first thing in the morning) so that's where I'd be looking for a start.

Thanks for the ideas. I have replaced the whole drum unit including the charge corona assembly. Will try disabling it just incase it is faulty as well.
