hi, i have a mp7500 that detects wrong paper sizes when copying from the adf and exposure glass. at first i replaced adf circuit board before i realized that i was also getting problem with exp glass. i checked all original detection sensor on both adf and under glass - working fine. any help will be greatly appreciated

check the adf exposure lamp black plate there is a ir sensor windows open the plate and service the paper size selector switchs or send me your emailid iwill seend you pics

3switches for diffrent sizes services the is ablack mark of tape on a plate will white trun white in to black this spot

It's worth checking out the default settings for detection.

letter on exposure glass asks for a4, letter from adf asks for 16k if i remember correctly... legal asks for 8 1/2x10...all sizes asks for wrong sizesComment

I had this same exact thing happen on a B140. Remove the ADF rear cover and look at the gears that drive the primary feed roller shafts. There is a couple of one way bearings that get dirty/worn and screw up the feed timing. Obviously this would only happen when using the document feeder, though.NEVER ASSUME ANYTHINGComment
