    Ricoh 3235c Jam code 011

    Hi Guys,

Hope you can offer some assistance with this, I have said machine that when copying, the paper just makes it out of the nip of the fuser rollers and not reaching the fusing exit sensor, this mainly happens on A3 and so when the jam happens most of the paper is still coming from the transfer area, any ideas? there were a couple of other codes 09 and 65 but mainly 011.

Any help will be very much appreciated.

If you're sure all the paper sensors are OK, replace the push switch at the left cover. These switches tend to be unreliable sometimes.

Would the push switch failing give me power on jams though?

Those are all in the same neighbourhood of the duplex inverter sensor. Check to make sure nothing's blocking it, or that you don't have any kind of burrs or other blockages in the paper path. It doesn't take much more than a bent mylar or a chip of plastic missing to make everything go wacky.

All MPC models have problems with push switches in brigdes and they end as "Power ON" jams - so that must be the same for 32xxC switches.

I swapped over the duplex unit after finding the mylars had been flipped backwards, but then still had a jam, i eneded up swaping the fuser assy aswell and since had no recall, perhaps the one way bearing driving the fuser belt was playing up.

            Thanks for the suggestions.
