    mpc2500 vertical lines

    Hi everyone.

    Any idea what causes these vertical lines in a4 portrait mode. (see attachment)

    from log:
    pcu b: 74%
    dev unit 40%
    dev. 81%
    cleaning 81%
    fusing 81%

    Not straight enough to be charge roll, I would look at the fuser

      Looks like cracks in fuser belt to me.

        This is definitely the fuser belt. Had this tons of times.

        If you take the top off the fuser, then remove the large metal frame covering the belt with the non-contact thermistor in, you should be able to see splits in the belt surface.

        The belts on these don't seem to last to their stated life.

            Hi Again.
            Thank you very much!
            Saved me a couple of hours, changed fuser yesterday, and looked at the old belt..cracks! I think it's the first time i replace fuser before it reaches 100%.
