Ive had plenty of the 440 codes but never had to replace a motor. Its always been a locked fuser, pcu or developer.

Stripe out the motor board until you see the motor coil which solder to the pc board, move the metal wire, you will notice the wire was broken, resolder it and the motor was usable again.

thank you for your reply. after i replaced the main motor when sc440 appeared on my machines, the machines works fine again without replacing or touching other parts. other techs said that it's one of the weak parts of these models but i think there is a solution to this. some even advised me to take out the bypass if it's not being used to lessen the load of the main motor.

Weak part? I've never had to replace a main motor on an Adonis and can't think of any occurences of any of the other members of my team having to either. Are you using OEM parts, toner and developer?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

                Hit it.

I'm with TonerMunkeh, we've serviced a lot of this model, along with it's newer counter-parts, and have never had a problem with the main motors dying.
