    Bad quality copy MP1100

I´ve got an issue with a MP1100, Copy A4 LEF at the start Bad quality as if there was a pour charge for about 7 cm then good quality about 5 cm after that a back horizontal band about 2,5 cm and again bad quality.

Checked High vontage cables, drum shaft, bushings, changed corona cases, drum assy, drum, developer, updated firmware, no results.
printed about 1000 pages exelent peformance, ricoh style, after that bad quality again and some times SC304 and jams.

waiting for power supply board, any help?

this machine is working with a plockmatic booklet folder with a cover feeder and trimmer, looks and runs like a TGV.................LOL

Have you tried a different drum? I know they are good for 1.2 million or so, but it might be the ground inside the drum.

Is it a new machine? How many copies?

Samir: No, not again. I... why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to God, one of these days, I just kick this piece of shit out the window.
Michael Bolton: You and me both, man. That thing is lucky I'm not armed.

Have you thought about replacing the power paks, PPG, CGP?

Also, you know you can actually see the glow of the charge corona when it is operating. This can give you an indication if it is at the charge wire or elsewhere that the problem might be.

Charge Corona Error 2: Grid Leak

A high feedback voltage (H) for the charge corona 60ms. Also during this time, the voltage of the charge gird remained less than -400v

          *Cycle the machine off/on
*Charge unit set incorrectly (not locked in place)
*Charge unit connector loose, broken, defective.

If you've replaced both the main charge corona and the pre charge corona wires and grids, the I guess the next step is the PPG and CGB power packs. I'd definately try these before trying the main power supply (if that's what you've ordered)

If possible, get a PCU from a machine you know is working and put it in this one. At least then you can either narrow the fault down to something in the PCU itself or external to for definate.

I had SC300 a little while ago on a Mojito (aficio 551) that turned out to be the drum potential sensor taking out the charge corona power pack. The machine would print 1 copy that was completely grey before throwing up sc300. I replaced the wire, grid, cleaning pads and endblocks to begin with before ordering the drum potential sensor and PP that eventually fixed the fault.
