Ricoh MP 5000 problem with Scanner

Problem with Scan to folder on Ricoh MP 5000, not in adding User option gives the path of the folder, will I have to update the firmware?

Just to clarify...you're logged into the Web monitor (WIM) as administrator, and when you select "add user" in the address book there is no section on the following page to enter the path?
    Is that correct?

Yes, it shows the option to put the folder path, even using SDM (SmartDeviceMonitor for admin)
the machine works normal, only that the scanner could not solve

So I now understand that it's not that there is a problem with the scanner, but rather, a problem with your configuration. You either need a firmware update or some of your settings are incorrect -or most likely both.
There are hundreds of pages relating to scanner configuration on this site. Don't concern yourself with the "exact" machine model - they're all virtually the same.
If you still have an issue, there's always FTP, or scan to email

because my friend is no option to scan to FTP or E-mail, I honestly do not understand this machine, because I have had other and never had the same problem.

Oh yes it does have the ability to do both of those things. So I suggest contacting someone who does have a basic understanding of this machine

Try substituting the IP of the computer instead of the name. as in \\192.168.1.251\scans
If that works then it is a DNS issue. You can only leave it like that if the computer has a fixed IP, not DHCP.
Copy the path statement into a run box and see if it brings up the folder.
Aside from that I think Sandmanmac has the right idea

I tried flying an Airbus A380 at the weekend with no idea of what I was doing.

That ended badly for the 525 passengers.

I've had some odd issues caused by option SD cards in the incorrect slots. Double check the manual to confirm that they are correct. I had an MP 2000 that would print and scan to email with me manually inputting the email address but in the address book there were no scan options available.
