    [Jamming] AF2020D

    Hi to all of you! Pls help me out with this problem i'm encountering. Paper feeds upto the entrance of the fusing unit and jams. The rest of the paper is curled up beyond the registration. (feeding A4 portrait/lengthwise). The Fusing Unit H/R, P/R and P/R bushes seem ok. The problem escalated progressively (from intermittent jams to jamming every copy). Yr comments appreciated. thanks & have a nice day/night.

          Thanks for yr response. It's not the Transfer Gear. The paper passes that point.

              Does it jam when feeding A4 Landscape?

              Are the Fuser rollers rotating?

                  Before the paper start jamming constantly, did you print of the smc report log data sheet. If you got to service mode now wher does it indicate last jam number and then refer back to the service manual, this will give you a heads up and if you can provide more informaton on this then we can help more

                          Based on the little information you have provided, I'd say that 1) the fusing rollers are not turning, 2) the entrance plate to the fuser is broken some how, or 3) the drum shutter gear has slipped from people slamming the door shut, and does not fully open, snagging the paper.

                          If I had more information I might change my predictions some, but those are the things I'd check first based on the provided knowledge.

                              Oh Wow!! Yr right! The Fuser Roller is not turning??!! Live and learn. Will be looking into this matter now. Meanwhile any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank You!
