    It Could be that the cooling fan isn't working it's located behind a small grill towards the rear of the left hand cover near the fuser door.

      (Stating the obvious?)... If the thermistors are bent / dirty, they will register a lower temperature than the actual temp and the machine will run hot.... until the thermostats blow!... (Smack them against the wall if they do.. ! )

        I believe there is also a cheap washable "filter" under the cover for that fan also. If the copier is in a dirty environment, it could be plugged.

          My answer would be the same, common problem with overheating in some models.
