2075 no print or scan

    2075 no print or scan

    The print and scan in user tools is gone, and the machine wont print or scan, ive changed the HDD formatted it, re set the dimms,
    When i ran diagnostics, it coded out 834 f 104 ?
    I restart and it takes a long time to come to ready, then just has copy function.
    im thinking its the firm ware on the sd card or the sd card itself?
    i dont have another one to switch,
    thanks for any ideas

      I think you are on the right track. I'd do firmware first and check that the 256k memory DIMM is installed as well as the print/scan sd card in the top slot C1.

          When you formatted the HDD, did you loose all the settings. Have you tried to print and scan by disconnecting the network cable the customer uses and using your own laptop with a cross over cable. I would also ask that you look up the machine IP address and try to ping it from a computer hooked up to the server that can print/scan...

          Has the IT dept. in the customer changed any settings on their server at all, or are they using new Anti Virus protection

              change the value in sp 5985 001 0 to 1

                  X2 - device settings -if this is set to 0 then you cant see the P/S feature.

                      yes must be set to 1, otherwise the print functions and escanner not enable

                          When you format the HDD dont forget to Reinstall/copy the Address book data back to the HDD.
