    8001 document server issue

Hi. all, I have a customer that cant send a single file of 5600 pages to the doc server because its more than 5000 pages. I have tried changing the settings of system sp 5182 001 to allow expansion, did not work , I cant change 5182-002 at all. Any ideas on this one?

The size of the "document" seems a bit ridiculous; 5600 pages? I really don't know what to tell you with that one. It may also be a limitation of the actual file size itself, not just the number of pages.

I'd say split the thing up into two different files and save the headache...

Hmmmm... The product support guide says only 2,000 pages per document.

The best I could determine was 3000 pages/job max and 3000 jobs max (depends on various factors including coverage). Attached is the Printer bit switch chart that you may want to check out - look for Controller 08A GW in the first column. Looks like you can increase the maximum amount of stored pages from 10000 to 45000 pages (total) using Printer SP5-182-001. Not sure that it will improve the doc server capacity though.

It's a utility company's billing packets, therefore a lot of pages per packet (largest is a little over 16K pages)
