Make sure to clean all of the optics (mirrors/reflectors), and the underside of the ADF glass. If problem is still there, give a little pull upwards on the front left side of the scanner . It's quite common that it gets pushed down a little because people lean on the machine etc.

Sometimes when the scanner rail is poorly lubricated, light source #1 comes to position under the slit glass tipped because it is dragging on the rail. A slightly different area of light source #1 is used, so a tiny fleck of dust on that mirror that does not affect scanning on the glass can affect scanning through the slit glass.

What it comes down to is:
Clean and lubricate the scanner rail with a small amount of light oil.
Meticulously clean all the mirrors, platen glass and slit glass.

Check that the copy images are square on all edges. An optical skew indicates that the scanner is probably bent.
          =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Agree on all of the answers. Just wanted to add a bit regarding ADF / Main glass scanning.
To make sure you are not having issue with a DIRTY SLIT scanner glass when you are using ADF - put you original on a MAIN glass (under the ADF cover and copy/scan it. If there is no line then you have 100% dirt on a slit scanner glass. If this problem (line(s)) exists even after you have scanned from the glass then read above...
