Hi All

My problem was on copier Mpc3000, the problem was the toner black.
i put in a new toner k & PCU K but it cannot detect toner black.
i try to reset the toner k on sp3045 it reset but when doing copy toner k indicator display & its block.
What can cause that, the toner end sensor for black, BICU, pump toner black. Help Please.

Everytime I've had this problem, it's been the toner pump.

Replace the black toner pump. It's a common problem on these machines.

the difference between the pumps for different colors is only the hose (that you really dont need) - so you can use the pump for any color. A had also another reason for "Toner empty" - the gear, that drives the development unit was worn

I have the same problem. Does not see the new toner bottle. Tried two different OEM toners too. Did a SP 3045 and ran a couple of copies. They look great. Turned the SP 3045 back on and rebooted. No toner comes right back. Vacuumed the entire toner delivery system, swapped pumps with the magenta pump (after cleaning them out), swapped the toner end sensors as well. No change. Any thoughts?

Why did you swap the black and magenta pumps? Quite frequently the problem is the toner hose being clogged. The new pump includes the hose. I have never had any luck trying to clean the toner pumps. Try a new black toner pump assembly. Also check the nozzle assembly as those can clog. Bypass the front door interlock and check that the toner bottle rotates when you turn SP 5804-020, Toner Transport Motor, and SP 5804-100, toner supply motor clutch: K. If the bottle does not rotate, it is either the motor or the clutch. Test to see if the other bottles rotate, SP 5804-101 thru 103 for the clutches. If none of them rotate, the motor is bad.

I swapped pumps to see if it was a pump problem. After I swapped them I checked for toner delivery in the DV units. Both pumps that I swapped are working fine. All bottles rotate fine as well.

Then you most likely have a clogged or pinched hose. There are a couple of bulletins concerning pinched hoses and what to do to prevent them.

So this morning, I did a sp3045, calibrated the copier and exited the sp3045. Rebooted the copier and I now have a happy copier properly displaying all of it's flavors! No idea why but, I'm going to run with it. Thanks for your help everyone.

Swapped a pump with a used one with another colored toner inside of it? Are you crazy? :-0
