Re-check the web drive motor harness, i've had a few where the tech pinches the wires. Verify the web is turning by making a mark on the web and turning on the web motor, it barely moves, so sometimes i pull the motor off the frame, cheat the door closed, and drive the web motor thru the Output check. I think this model has 2 spots to reset the web when you replace it in SP mode & PM counter. Good luck!

Erm, did you put them the right way round ? Its easy to get confused and after having changed them dozens of times, I sometimes forget. Before dismantling the used one, lay the new one next to the cleaning unit with the worn one still on to orientate the new one, if you get my drift. Also, what exactly do you mean "out of its position" ? Has the web pulled off from its shaft that its attached to ? Has the web(with shaft) fallen off ?

To reset the webb counter you use service mode SP1902 and reset to 0(if replaced) or if there is plenty of webb left the input the percentage remaining on the roll. The m/c asks for a webb after 70-80%(depending on what it is set to).
If your still getting sc550 then then webb has been put on incorrectly!.

motors go bad and in a pinch you can swap the corona cleaning motor if needed.
i ve had the gears break teeth and you wont see in unless you really look.
also there is a black "flag" that sits on the roll.ck that it is sitting right..

When I replace the web, I always make a little mark on the web. Then I run 150 copies and see if the mark moves in the correct direction. I also replaced the web dozens of times and I still have to take a good look at the used web and the new one to make sure I replace it the right way.

I have had where the web sensor is stuck after replacement and caused web end condition. However, if you are having which is prematurely end even you have half roll left inside the web then update the latest engine firmware.

                  the web(with shaft) fallen off
then you didn't fit the web properly, shaft engaging on locking pins one side, locked in place with the plastic screwed bits (for want of the proper discription) on the other side. Check it again, there is no way those things can fall off if fitted properly. OR, you didn't screw them down, or the plastic bits are broken.

It doesn't help that these buggers run their web out early either. Most web counters are on 70-75% when they pop SC550. Apparently their was a firmware fix for this but it hasn't helped. They are the only Martini of the range that do it too.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

                    Hit it.

Is the web motor turning? open the front cover of the web unit and run output check SP5804-55 to see if it spins. If not, replace a new web motor.

Which is it ? you have described two different problems.

Might be time for a new web unit, the gears, one way bearings or brake pad might be worn and causing the machine to eat it's web.

I don't know if this will help at all, but after I replace the web I make sure to rotate the take up shaft several times before I install the web unit back onto the fusing assembly. That helps in case the adhesive on the take up shaft might not hold the web.
