Re: ricoh mpc4500 refuses to duplex....
1 way bearings in duplex slipping.
Causes timing problems.
I just pull them off, clean them and rough up the shaft with a scotchbrite. Why do they call it common sense?
If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?Comment

Re: ricoh mpc4500 refuses to duplex....
On the bottom of the fuser is a black metal guide. Remove the 2 screws, clean the metal guide, and when you put put it back on use the square holes instead of the round ones. This allows you to pull the guide back a little farther and make the opening bigger. The paper curls on the second side and catch's it.Comment

Re: ricoh mpc4500 refuses to duplex....
i think i had one like this a while back if i remember right the page makes it about an inch or so into the right side door before jamming, i believe i pulled off the cover on the right side of the door and found the timing belts loose and one ways slipping, i usually take off the one ways and spin a q-tip with alcohol around inside them, clean the shafts, and then make sure the belt tension is good.Comment

Re: ricoh mpc4500 refuses to duplex....
I have seen cheap/ recycled paper cause this code.
Too much curl entering duplex and tagging on the guide plate.
$5.00 a case more is not going to break their budget. Why do they call it common sense?
