Ricoh MP CW2200SP close front cover problem

HI, On a NEW MP CW2200SP after 4-6 prints after instalation, the mashine give me an paper jam and after removing paper still stays CLOSE FRONT DOOR. I chek the left and right switches with instrument and they working fine. In INPUT chek shows the left ( double ) switch is open. I chek also the wires from the switches to the board, they are fine too.
    Any suggestions PLS?

Sounds like a faulty switch if input is showing them open. Try removing switch and use a paperclip to close the circuit on the connector to test if it is the switch or not.

TNX for trying to help me. I replace the switch-es, chek the cabless ( harness ) with instrument, then short-wire directly to the pins of the board and still the same sympthoms: Close Front Cover. Any new suggestions PLS?

Next step would be to check the service manual for blown fuse conditions, maybe a fuse on the PSU has popped. Were any options added at PDI, i.e. another roll drawer? Could there be a pinched harness somewhere?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

        Hit it.

If your switch is good, harness is good. Replace the board that the switch connects to.

If this started happening immediately after installing, you may have a board defect that should be replaced by Ricoh under new machine warranty.

I'm kind of curious if the actuator for the interlock is OK.
                It probably is I guess.

Pray it has nothing to do with RTB30.

Is this is a brand new machine can you swap it out DOA with Ricoh or your supplier?

see my last post on this http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/ri...ighlight=w2200

Basically its due to the print head leaking ink (usually black) and shorting out the MCU board. You have to replace both otherwise if you just fit the MCU it will blow again after 30 seconds.
