    ricoh mpc 4500 and fr790 finisher

    the Ricoh mpc 4500 is networked to 4 computers. One computer works fine with the copier, but the other three show the accessories options as blank. They cannot choose sort or staple options that come along with the finisher. Is this a software problem? Anyone got any ideas? thanks

      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

                      Go to the driver properties, select accessories tab and select the finisher which is installed. Hope this helps

                          check the driver version....and google of update version if there is any buy it from manual guy on this forum...

                              That is a wrong driver they are running, or alternativly the driver hasnt been configured properly.

                                  I have also seen this problem when one computer has the driver installed locally and the others are connecting through a server. If the finisher is not selected in the driver on the server, none of the workstations can select it.

                                      If you have the correct driver go to Printers - MPC4500(PCL/RCPS) - Driver Properties - Accessories just choose the correct finisher the test. FYI finisher model is SR790. I hope this wil help.
