[Jamming] MP-2852 Feeding first inch of sheet after print job is done.

I have swapped rollers & torque limiter. I have cleaned and the swapped clutch with the bypass clutch. I have tried multiple paper sizes, orientations and levels. The machine consistently feeds the first inch of a sheet after it finishes a job. Any thoughts?

More questions than answers. Does the problem only occur w/ print jobs, not copies.
Have you tried to duplicate the problem from another paper drawer feed.

The problem only occurs from tray 1,on both prints and copies.

Off timing of the feed clutch is controlled by the CPU. You have already ruled out a sticky clutch & paper drawer. Suggest you confirm same symptom on glass copy mode. I suspect it will be the same. SP 1903-2 controls the overfeed time of the feed clutch for tray 1.

Is the machine detecting paper end correctly? I've had the actuator missing the last 1/8th inch off it where it drops into the sensor cause stupid issues like this.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

            Hit it.

Swap sensor on tray one. Think the part number is Aw010128. Toner gets inside on the sensor, then it does not turn off fast enough and keeps the pick up roller down.
