    MP301 - SC672!

I have 2 of these animals in my workshop, and am running out of ideas.

I have had both the controller and BICU of BOTH tested by our electronics workshop, and 3 of the 4 boards came back as tested fine (1x controller is unrepairable).

What gets me is that the SC672 does still come up on strart-up, before the engine starts. I have looked over the point-to-point diagram to check that all the connectors are in the right places, but cannot fault anything there either.

    This does not make sense!

Only other culprit I can think of is the PSU that is not supplying a line of power to the controller?? Any more ideas anyone?

Pinched wire(s) between controller and op panel? Just a thought.

Just opened up the power supply and found that someone left me a nicely damaged unit! Machine still power up but once I had repalsed the psu, the error was gone! GRRR!

      Thanks for the suggestions!

Brand new out of box. SC672 error code. I am ordering or seeing if Ricoh will warranty a new board. I'll let you know what happens.

No. Installed new PSU no change in code. Checked Voltages from PSU, and I'm getting my 5VDC and 24VDC to the BCU. I'm thinking replace the BCU or Controller next. Any thoughts?
