      Hello

I work for a company that sells and lent copiers (pay per copy), if we buy a copier we replace all PM Parts, and the belts inside, after that we clean the maschine completely, from outside and inside, this works takes 2 or three days. After this operation we give a full 3 Year warranty on every part, because the maschine de facto is new, thats how we will reset the NVRAM.
There are other companies here in Italy that do the same.

              Hello,
what Copier is that NVRAM? You can buy new one from Ricoh, because if you reset NVRAM you loose all the default programming, you need to recall all the settings... without them the machine will not work properly.

                  HI Codex
I don't understand , if you can back up it then you simply back up a new one and restore to the others with a programmer ..you don't need anymore , do you ?

You didn´t understand, he must upload system settings to a SD card, replace the NVram and then download system settings to the machine, these setting are the factory default (or not) when you make a memory clear it resets all the settings except the total counter, thats why he wants a (NVram) chip programer, but this just going to have to bye a new one, there are ricoh machines that have NVrams with a battery, on those you can desolder the battery and it will loose the total counter but then you´ll have to insert the machine serial number, in some cases is easy, its a part in service SPs in other cases theres a special service mode that I certainly will not tell you. Sounds complex but its not. another thing when you upload the system settings to SDcard it creates a file, if you explore the file on a computer WIN or MAC you´ll see that the files name is the machines serial number.

                    M48T129V this seams like a MP2000 2500 or 2550

With a programer you can erase, rewrite or copy a NVRAM very easyly .
In fact ,i don't like resetting total counter .

we have a supplier, who sells us remanufactured machines with nvram reset (just 200-300 test prints before being shipped)it seems to me that it also sells nvram reset, I have to try to ask my boss, it seems to me about 60-70 euros, but I'm not sure
