    Af700 Sc900

Here is a strange one. This machine will get this code on every copy but not on a memory print. You can do a counter print from any tray all day long but as soon as you make a copy, it codes out SC900 as soon as the copy exits.
    And the copy looks OK.
So I put in a new NVRAM, CRAMed it put all the data back in and got the same thing.
So I replaced the SBICU from another known working 700 along with its NVRAM and get the exact same thing.
Next replaced the IOB from the know working 700, same thing
Next replaced the HD same thing.
I cant figure what scanning has to do the the NVRAM.
    Need input!

Damn, it was the mechanical counter!
As I was typing this I realized that memory prints dont increment the mechanical counter but copies do. Thats the diff.
Of course it should have been an SC901. But this machine is a liar.

The coil was shorted. I think I would have gotten a 901 if it had been disconnected.
            Very unusual.
I'm just thinking out loud but maybe the 900 came up because it wasn't able to increment the NVRAM total counter (because of the short circuit occurring at the same time.)
