I only have a few of that model i would say they run about the same as the other mpc2500/3000 maybe even better then the mpc 2050/2550 models. Pretty much run across similar issues but the drums do last longer then the others and tend to do fairly well in my opinion, like i said i only have maybe 10 of them vs 50-60 of the other models and i really dont have to look at them that often. I have probably had to repair the 4 mpc4502/5502 machines in my area more often then the 10 mpc2800s i have.

Thanks so much, gives me food for thought at least anyway!
Good boxes with only one vice. Suggest you update the poly mirror motor to the latest version as the original one tends to cook speed control chips and then take out the BiCU which can seriously damage your bottom line.

Does anybody else recall if the mp c2800/3300 allow for "tweaking" the black drum to run in color drums slots? like the c3500/4500 do
I like the MP C3500/4500's.... and the c2800/3300 seem like damn near the same thing only slower. find out if you can convert black drums to color drums(this saves tons of money)
Sure can, To use a D029 2256 K drum as a colour just file the corner off the rear connector and swap two wires over in the connector. Just have a search around the site, all the details are there.

All you really should have to do is modify the secondary transfer case using the parts listed in the Ricoh Bulletin and they should do well for you.
The original transfer case has a common issue where the lower plastic lug breaks and the makes the transfer case obstruct closing the duplex door properly.
Modify it with the revised parts list and away you go.....they're a great machine.
Once again, thanks so much everyone! Today I'm supposed to assess one for a contract, I have manuals too. Apparently this one isn't producing black image at all tho. The prior service provider has given me a toner pump to install to fix it. Fingers crossed!
