    [CQ] MP 2501 Faint copies after new drum and developer

    Hi. I am problems with Aficio mp2501 sp machines. I have changed replaced drum and developer but the copies are coming out faint. Even on a print out. I have initialised I.D. sensor and developer but to no avail. The funny thing is that the same developer works well on brand new machines. Please help

      Which developer did you install? You do know that the MP2501 does not use the same dev as the MP2000?

          yes i used black developer part number d1589640. the only issue I observed after initialising developer was that the vsp was at 1.5. Of which i think is not normal

              Hi

              What was the call out for? Was it for CQ?

              Sounds like you could have a faulty TD sensor. Which is stopping the machine form toning up.

                  Clean the laser shield glass.

                      - Clean laser polygon
                      - Decrease charge roller bias (2001-1)

                          The first thing that you have to check is if the copy is printed ok on the drum surface.Make a jam yourself and watch.If the copy is ok on the drum then check the transfer unit.If not check the metal behind the pcu that charges charge roller.if everything ok with the pcu go to the laser unit
