MPC3500 to MPC5501 Address Book Migration Possible?

Client is upgrading from an MPC3500 to an MPC5501. Can we back up the address book on the 3500 and restore it on the 5501?

    Thanks

I did a transfer from an MPC4000 to an MPC5501 today with no issue, so I would say yes.

The .UDF backup file probably won't work. But you should have no issues with the .CSV file.

The backup / restore via WIM or SDM-A should work fine. Use a simple encryption key to ensure any stored passwords are moved too. Generally I just encrypt with 'password' to keep it simple.

It's possible! I did it many times using a SD card and user tools( system setting/administration/tools/backup address book) with no issues.

Thanks for the follow up feedback. Too many times, folks post with a problem, get many techs advice and we never hear back what fixed it.
